BOOKS AND AUTHORS

MEET JOSH MCDOWELL
Josh McDowell, a travelling representative of Campus Crusade for Christ, has been introducing skeptics to Jesus Christ for more than two decades. He has spoken to more than eight million students and faculty at over 600 universities in 74 countries. A magna cum laude graduate of Talbot Theological Seminary, he is a member of two national honor societies. A man whose workday often runs to twenty hours, McDowell presently serves on the faculty of International School of Theology and is a resident instructor at the Julian Center, Julian, California. He has authored numerous books including the bestsellers Why Wait?, What You Need To Know About The Teen Sexuality Crisis, Evidence That Demands A Verdict Volumes 1 and 2, More Than A Carpenter and The Myths of Sex Education. Other titles include The Resurrection Factor, Answers To Tough Questions, and He Walked Among Us: Evidence For The Historical Jesus.
This month we feature the HANDBOOK of TODAY’S RELIGIONS which McDowell co-authored with Don Stewart. "Hundreds of religious sects, denominations and cults profess to teach the True Way, yet their various versions of the True Way differ widely. Some even seem to be almost Christian. Handbook of Today’s Religions is a reference work written for all concerned Christians who desire to have a more discerning, broader-based knowledge of the major cults and belief systems that diabolically oppose Bible-based Christianity."
While we humbly pray and earnestly hope that McDowell will study his way to a greater grasp of the mystery, we recognize in him a man who truly loves and ardently serves the Lord Jesus. He has made a much needed contribution in the field of Apologetics and his work must be taken seriously.
If you haven’t done so already, I hope you will "meet" McDowell by adding HANDBOOK to your library. Call us at (630) 834-0884 for more information.
